How does the Triangle Rewards™ program work?

You can collect Canadian Tire Money® by showing your Triangle App, Triangle Rewards card, or key FOB upon checkout, or by simply paying with a Triangle credit card at Canadian Tire, Sport Chek, Mark's/L'Equipeur, Party City, Gas+/Essence+ & Petro-Canada locations, Pro Hockey Life, Atmosphere, Sports Rousseau, Hockey Experts, L’Entrepôt du Hockey, and participating Sports Experts locations across Canada.  This also includes all online purchases at CanadianTire.ca, SportChek.ca, Marks.com, PartyCity.ca, ProHockeyLife.com, Atmosphere.ca, and participating SportsExperts.ca.  
 
You must be a member in the program to collect and redeem CT Money. To become a member, you’ll need to register. Redemptions is available at Canadian Tire, Sport Chek, Mark's, L’Équipeur, Party City, Pro Hockey Life, Atmosphere, Sports Rousseau, Hockey Experts, L’Entrepôt du Hockey and participating Sports Experts stores. Online redemption is available at canadiantire.ca.

Is the Triangle Rewards® card a credit card?

Nope, it’s not a credit card, it’s a rewards card!  Once you have registered your Triangle Rewards card, you’ll be a member in the program and you can use your Triangle Rewards to collect and redeem Canadian Tire Money® at Canadian Tire, Sport Chek, Mark’s/L’Équipeur, Party City, Pro Hockey Life, Atmosphere, Sports Rousseau, Hockey Experts, L’Entrepôt du Hockey, and participating Sports Experts stores as well as online at CanadianTire.ca. You can also collect and redeem using the Triangle App. Members are also able to collect at Gas+/Essence+ & Petro-Canada locations. You can collect CT Money faster with a Triangle credit card. 

 

Why should I register for the Triangle Rewards® Program? What are the benefits?

• Collect CT Money at Gas+, Essence+ & Petro-Canada locations. 
• Collect CT Money when using other credit cards, not just cash or debit. 
• Return products at Canadian Tire, Mark's/L'Equipeur, Sport Chek, and Atmosphere without a paper receipt. 
• Collect CT Money online at CanadianTire.ca, SportChek.ca, Marks.com, Lequipeur.com, PartyCity.ca, ProHockeyLife.com, and Atmosphere.ca.

Collecting & Redeeming Canadian Tire Money®

Yes, the base rate at which customers collect Canadian Tire Money at Canadian Tire stores is the same at Sport Chek and participating Mark’s/L’Équipeur and Atmosphere stores. 

 

No. Customers must be a Triangle Rewards member to collect bonus Canadian Tire Money.

 

No. Customers must register their Triangle Rewards card before they can start collecting or redeeming their Canadian Tire Money. Triangle™ Credit Cards customers are automatically registered in the program so they can begin redeeming immediately. You can register on Triangle.com or by using the Triangle Mobile App. 

 

Triangle Rewards card: Members collect between 3 and 4.5 cents per litre back in Canadian Tire Money when using cash or debit (0.5 cents per litre when using 3rd party credit card) Triangle Mastercard: 5 cents per litre back in Canadian Tire Money on all fuel types.

Triangle™ World Mastercard® and Triangle™ World Elite Mastercard®: 5 cents per litre back in Canadian Tire Money on regular & mid-tier fuel, and 7 cents per litre back in Canadian Tire Money on premium fuel (where premium is available). Rates subject to change and could vary by location.

 

Customers can collect Canadian Tire Money on fuel purchases at Gas+/Essence+ locations but are not able to redeem. 

 

No. Only electronic Canadian Tire Money can be collected at Sport Chek and participating Mark’s/L’Équipeur & Atmosphere stores. You must be a member in the Triangle Rewards program to collect electronic Canadian Tire Money.

 

Yes, electronic Canadian Tire Money can be collected on all qualifying online purchases at CanadianTire.ca, Marks.com, SportChek.ca & Atmosphere.ca. Redemption of Canadian Tire Money is not available through the online properties.

No. There is no longer any minimum number of litres of fuel required to qualify for the cents per litre offer and there is no maximum. Customers collect electronic Canadian Tire Money on every whole litre.

 

As long as you pay using any of the eligible tender types and present your Triangle Rewards™ card (Card, Key fob / Triangle Mobile App), or pay with a Triangle branded Mastercard. The offer applies to all gasoline grades as well as diesel.

 

With the change to the new cents per litre offer, Canadian Tire Petroleum will not be issuing any paper Canadian Tire Money at our Gas+/Essence+ locations in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. With the launch of the My Canadian Tire Money® Program, in October 2014, most customers now prefer the electronic Canadian Tire Money format and very few have continued to collect paper Canadian Tire Money. Paper Canadian Tire Money is still available for Cash / Debit purchases at Canadian Tire retail stores and Gas+/Essence+ sites outside of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia for non My Canadian Tire Money Members or when proof of membership is not presented.  

 

The cents per litre offer is available at all Canadian Tire Gas+/Essence+ locations in Canada.  

 

No. The Canadian Tire retail stores will continue to provide paper Canadian Tire Money to customers who pay with Cash or Debit and are not Triangle Rewards™ members, or do not present proof of membership at the time of purchase. Yes, Triangle Rewards™ Members can convert paper Canadian Tire Money that they have to electronic Canadian Tire Money at a Canadian Tire retail store. The paper Canadian Tire Money will be applied to their Triangle Rewards™ account.

 

No, paper Canadian Tire Money can be redeemed or converted to electronic Canadian Tire Money only at Canadian Tire retail stores.

 

You can start collecting Canadian Tire Money after picking up and registering for a card or registering an account through the Triangle™ Mobile App. You will collect Canadian Tire Money by showing your Triangle Mobile App, Triangle Rewards™ card, or key fob upon checkout, or by simply paying with a Triangle™ Mastercard® at Canadian Tire, Sport Chek, Gas+/Essence+ locations across Canada as well as online at CanadianTire.ca, Marks.com, lequipeur.com, Sport Chek.ca & Atmosphere.ca and participating Mark’s/L’Équipeur and Atmosphere stores. It’s an easier way to collect your Canadian Tire Money. You must be a member in the program in order to collect and redeem Canadian Tire Money. To become a member you’ll need to register.

 

If the offer requires activation, you can activate via the email, through your My Offers area on Triangle.com or within the Triangle™ Mobile App. When in-store, simply show your Triangle Rewards card, key fob or Triangle Mobile App, or pay with your Triangle™ Mastercard® once you’ve met the requirements of the offer and your bonus Canadian Tire Money® will be added to your account. If an offer requires activation but you do not do so you won’t get the benefit of such offer.

Yes! You can collect bonus Canadian Tire Money on special promotions or in-store events. Look for the Triangle Rewards™ bonus icons in-store, in-flyer and in your inbox. You must be registered in the program to collect and be sure to provide your email address to be notified about future bonus promotions and to receive exclusive Triangle Rewards™ offers. Some offer may require activation.

 

Membership & Account Information

No, we have changed the name of the My Canadian Tire Money® program to Triangle Rewards so customers can continue to use their My Canadian Tire Money Card. If the customer would like the new Triangle card, they can merge their old account to their new account at Triangle.com or through the Triangle Mobile App.

 

If a customer would like a physical card they can call customer service at 1-800-226-8473 and a card will be sent to them with the same number as their Triangle Mobile App. 

 

Customers can change their address on the Triangle Mobile App or through Triangle.com. For lost or stolen cards customers can call customer service at 1-800-226-8473 Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 9:00 pm (EST) and Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

 

Each Triangle Rewards account can only be held by one person, however, family members can collect together as a household with up to two additional key fobs or by using the Triangle™ Mobile App. Alternatively, Triangle Mastercard and Triangle World Elite Mastercard cardholders can request supplementary credit cards for family members.

 

Yes, customers can close their account at any time. There is no fee for closing an account, but they will lose any Canadian Tire Money® that they have collected. If a customer would like to cancel an account they should call Customer Service at 1-800-226-8473 Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 9:00 pm (EST) and Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please note that if you have a Triangle branded credit card and close your Triangle Rewards account, you will also be closing your credit card account. 

 

Transfers are at the discretion of Canadian Tire. To request a transfer of Canadian Tire Money®, members can call customer service at 1-800-226-8473 Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm (EST). Both customers must have registered Triangle Rewards accounts. 

 

If your card is lost or stolen you should immediately call customer service at 1-800-226-8473 to let us know. Otherwise, you might not be able to recover any Canadian Tire Money® that could be redeemed by a person presenting your lost or stolen card. In the interim, you can use the telephone number provided upon registration at time of purchase, or use the Triangle Mobile App.

 

Simply show your Triangle Rewards™ VIP card when paying for your auto parts or service to collect the 5x bonus. Be sure to log in to your My Offers hub on the Triangle™ Mobile App or triangle.com to activate your exclusive offers.

Triangle™ Mastercard® Customers

No. Customers with an Options Mastercard were automatically enrolled in the My Canadian Tire Money Program. We have changed the name of this program to Triangle Rewards so no action is required. The name of the Options Mastercard is changing to the Triangle™ Mastercard®. Some customers will receive their redesigned Triangle Mastercard beginning in April, while others will be sent a redesigned Triangle Mastercard when their Options Mastercard expires.

The Triangle Mobile App lets you collect and redeem Canadian Tire Money® with your smartphone. It’s an easier way to collect Canadian Tire Money and manage your account preferences. Remember, you can collect Canadian Tire Money at Canadian Tire, Sport Chek, Gas+/Essence+ locations and participating Mark’s/L’Équipeur, Atmosphere locations. You can also redeem your Canadian Tire Money at Canadian Tire, Sport Chek and participating Mark’s/L’Équipeur and Atmosphere locations.

 

Yes, your login and password for Triangle Rewards™ are the same as you've used previously with the My Canadian Tire Money® program, for both the Triangle Mobile App and Triangle.com

 

You do not need a network connection to access the Triangle Rewards™ barcode within the app in-store. However, you’ll need a network connection for activating offers and checking your Triangle Rewards balance. 

 

No, the Triangle™ Mobile App allows you to view your personalized offers for Canadian Tire, Sport Chek and participating Mark’s/L’Équipeur & Atmosphere stores.

 

There are two easy ways to merge your cards: 

1) Download the Triangle app to your smart phone

2) Visit triangle.com/merge 

The merge process may take up to 24 hours. You can continue to use your new card to collect Canadian Tire Money, but won’t be able to redeem until the merge is complete. 

Please note: if any of the following apply to you, you will need to call a Triangle expert at 1-800-226-8473 in order to keep your personal information and data safe:

- You have registered your My Canadian Tire Money card as well as your new Triangle Rewards card under different emails 

- You have an Options Mastercard or Triangle Mastercard that is linked to card
